<br />
Here I was, complaining and look what it led me to! An old friend of mind, Carla's blog! <br />

At first I was loving it. Then the troubles started. Now I'm so frustrated. I keep going round and round in circles.<br />
If you think, "Wow! Why doesn't she just google some help? HAAA! Which google do I use, I ask! <br />
Because suddenly I'm signed up for more than 1 apparently. And I can't get a fix on any I try. Was thinking about deleting it all and starting over, but how do I know what is linked to my blog? Will I be deleting all my hard work? ACK<br />
<br />
There was this cool feature on my tablet: I could click a little envelope that said email to get to my Yahoo email. This is the email I've had forever! Everything is in there! patterns, contacts, purchases, etsy buyers, etc, the list goes on!<br />
Now, when I click it it tells me that access failed. If I use the browser to open it up, there hasn't been a new email for days! But, if I use my laptop to access it, its all good. Also, I can see I've received a billion messages. Some related to my Etsy where I sell my handmades. So, that was 1 reason I got this tablet: to monitor my Etsy shop and yahoo email on the go. And to read books. <br />
<br />
If all I can do is read books, its 1 hell of an expensive book.<br />
<br />
Ok, before my blood pressure goes up anymore, I'll quit. Thanks for listening and keep me in your thoughts!<br />

I'm working on some dolls! Here are 2 ladybugs I just got listed on my Etsy shop.<br />
<br />
Instead of just having 1 thing at a time, I have 4 different things going at once. If I get tired of sanding, I grab a doll to stuff and so on. Does anyone else work like this or am I weird?<br />
<br />
I really enjoyed working on these 2 dolls. But, WOW what a bunch of work they were.<br />
<br />
Thanks for looking!<br />

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4Y4QyrGW4xA/USuQ286NHsI/AAAAAAAAA6U/CCEadO5AV6s/s1600/easter+goodes+002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4Y4QyrGW4xA/USuQ286NHsI/AAAAAAAAA6U/CCEadO5AV6s/s400/easter+goodes+002.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Here is my 1st effort at a Blue Velveteen Rabbit! He's just the right size for a shelf, bench, or basket. Awww I just love bunnies!<br />
<br />
I'd found this soft vintage fabric at an antique shop and immediately thought of a blue bunny! This fabric is a bit silky and not ideal to work with, but very worth it. The pattern is a <a href="http://sweetmeadowsfarm.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sweet Meadows Farm</a>.<br />
<br />
I used some walnut crystal stain to create the soft brown spots. I loved how they soaked in nice and soft and natural looking. <br />
<br />
I used tea stained muslin for the inside of his droopy ears. He's kind of a lop eared bunny rabbit. I made a yellow floral print egg; it's attached to his hand. Then, I couldn't resist making a little carrot with dried Sweet Annie greens.<br />
<br />
You won't be surprised to see I used my vintage (from an antique shop, too) pink pin dot fabric. I just ripped a strip off and soaked it in stain and made the big bow. It gives a nice aged appearance.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vVdKJUFqruk/USuQ6TJc5zI/AAAAAAAAA6c/P1SJoX3idvU/s1600/easter+goodes+007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vVdKJUFqruk/USuQ6TJc5zI/AAAAAAAAA6c/P1SJoX3idvU/s400/easter+goodes+007.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Here is another project finished and put on <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/MaryMQuiteContrary?section_id=13134151" target="_blank">my Etsy shop</a>. This duo is a pattern by <a href="http://freestitchinpatterns.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Sue Allemand</a>. This is something I've wanted to make for a long, long time and never got to it. We all have those patterns, don't we?<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ih6-pPvH0Gs/USuQ_mnTlbI/AAAAAAAAA6k/aTjgIKxRSkw/s1600/easter+goodes+011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ih6-pPvH0Gs/USuQ_mnTlbI/AAAAAAAAA6k/aTjgIKxRSkw/s400/easter+goodes+011.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Its such a cute stitchery pillow I finished with a woven check fabric from some curtains at a little shop that sold vintage and pre-owned goodies. And the little muslin rabbit has Pass the Carrots Please stitched on it, along with the face. His scarf is a strip of light blue fleece. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gnK-ryXBL8U/USuRChGFOxI/AAAAAAAAA6s/iNzg58U04oc/s1600/easter+goodes+016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gnK-ryXBL8U/USuRChGFOxI/AAAAAAAAA6s/iNzg58U04oc/s400/easter+goodes+016.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I made a few other things from some patterns I've gathered. I'll show them later. I'm off the make a few things I've had commissioned. If I don't stay productive, I can get into mischief! *snicker*<br />
<br />
Wishing you Great fun creating!<br />

Solly, my half German Shepard, half Golden Retriever, and I had some fun!<br />
<br />
This is a pic of him sitting on the love seat with my sister Peg. He <em>really, and I mean really</em> loves my sister!! He licks her face off all the time! We visit her at her house and he won't get 2 feet from her. <br />

<br />
We got the sidewalk and front porch all swept free of those gorgeous leaves. We re-adjusted all our pumpkins. Then we hung on the front door a fave. Pumpkin Girl doll I made a few years ago. I got my big witch all positioned in her chair with her lighted candle and we were ready! Turn on the outside light, and WAIT!<br />
<br />
It didn't take long. They start out slow, then invade all at once! LOL<br />
<br />
Its a good thing I had Solly's leash on; he was quite popular again this year. Everyone from adults to the smallest Trick or Treaters loved him!<br />
He was having an absolute Blast! This 1 little bitty girl hung onto his neck for so long, I thought the mommy would have to peel her off him. He is so gentle. He stays very still so as not to knock anybody down or hurt anybody. He keeps his big ole paws on the ground and never does a scary thing. He lets them pat and pet and ooo and aww over him all they want! LOL <br />
<br />
When the Treaters were dried up, he paced in front of the glass door and whined, voicing his need for more! LOL<br />
<br />
All the kids were having a blast and somebody had made sure they all were very well dressed Halloween fans! I couldn't believe all the super cute costumes!<br />
I have to say my fave. was the candy corn witch costume. I actually was quite envious!<br />
Then again the girl with the unicorn suit was really cute, too. She was a bit older and wore a complete pale pink body suit with a headband with furry white ears and a unicorn horn in the middle. Wowwww!<br />
<br />
I completely regret I didn't get any pictures. However, if you see this dog and an overwhelmed owner surrounded by Trick or Treaters on Facebook or a Blog, don't be surprised! We, err, Solly, had his pic taken several times by different parents!<br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed your Halloween! I have some projects that didn't quite get finished that I'll be safely stowing away for next year!<br />
Bye!<br />
<br />

What's not to love? The very air, at least when no one is burning! is wonderful, crisp and nutty!<br />
All the colors and the decorations catch your eye as you go past.<br />
I absolutely adore pumpkins and gourds and mums adorning the outside of houses.<br />
I was like a child at the pumpkin patch. I know they thought I was "special". They had all the pumpkins and gourds grouped in colors and sizes. I had told myself I was going for white pumpkins of all sizes and shapes, be it ugly or perfect. <br />
I should have known better; I love all the colors and must have a sampling of all!!<br />
I did get a white pumpkin for outside, though. Now my boys are grown, perhaps I won't have to keep an ear out at night worrying some heathen will smash a pumpkin for fun! Everytime Solly, my dog, does even a growl, I'm popping up at the window checking.<br />
Right now I'm waiting on some batting to make more bags. They've become quite popular recently, more than ususal.<br />
So, I've had time to make a couple more Fall dolls! Halloween dolls!!<br />
And, here they are! They are all listed on my <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/MaryMQuiteContrary" target="_blank">Etsy</a>!<br />

Witches, Witches Everywhere!!</h2>
<h4>
And their cats, too! *cackle*</h4>
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TnUbIKinW5U/UDOhFrwKYiI/AAAAAAAAAxQ/7j2-QJI5GCg/s1600/pumpkin+witch1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="371" mda="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TnUbIKinW5U/UDOhFrwKYiI/AAAAAAAAAxQ/7j2-QJI5GCg/s400/pumpkin+witch1.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
Pumpkin Carriage pulled by 2 scary cats! The wheels are 4 vintage wooden spools! Witch has a broom!<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qSPDSApeK9M/UDOhCteaZII/AAAAAAAAAxI/kLqQTkieUB0/s1600/cauldron+witch3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" mda="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qSPDSApeK9M/UDOhCteaZII/AAAAAAAAAxI/kLqQTkieUB0/s400/cauldron+witch3.jpg" width="387" /></a><br />
Hag witch has a cauldron and broom. She wears a grungy stained cheesecloth cape!<br />
Her eyes are sewn on black beads and flax hair felted on!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WNjpoYdrv1c/UDOg-n_NKyI/AAAAAAAAAxA/0FuLWrrmD7M/s1600/cat+walk+witch4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" mda="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WNjpoYdrv1c/UDOg-n_NKyI/AAAAAAAAAxA/0FuLWrrmD7M/s400/cat+walk+witch4.jpg" width="375" /></a><br />
See her turkey feather in her hatband? Her kitty has square head nails sewn on for legs, rusty bells for eyes, and rusty wire for whiskers!<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Between being sick, I have made witches for my <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/MaryMQuiteContrary" target="_blank">Etsy</a> shop. Witches are so fun to make! I have many more items in the making, nothing really to show. They are made using great patterns by <a href="http://myprimitivesaltbox.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">My Primitive Saltbox</a> I bought from <a href="http://www.patternmart.com/" target="_blank">Patternmart</a>.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">There is a wool pumpkin I made a out of reclaimed wool with feather stitching on the seams. The stem is brown canvas. It needs something before I put it in the <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/MaryMQuiteContrary" target="_blank">shop</a>, but I'm really proud of it as I didn't use a pattern.</span><br />
<br />
<h3>
Punch Needle</h3>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">For my 1st Punch Needle project I chose a pattern by one of my fav fab talented artists <a href="http://birdinthehandprimitives-robin.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Robin at Bird in the Hand Primitives </a>.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Its the Jack and Cat one. I'm making it for a very special person (its a surprise!). The only problem with it is; I made it way too big! LOL I ran out of ecru floss. Eeek! Not to worry, I told DH to order me some and he got me a case of 12 skeins! Hmmmm! I'm glad I didn't order anything too big or expensive! Silly man. Needless to say, it will be quite a sizable piece!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">When I've made more progress, I'll post a pic.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">I've also been making purses like crazy. Gals are really loving the Camo hobos with colorful bandana elbows. I get so much pleasure out of making these bags. They are so much fun. I always use the latest "cool" camo fabric. Some are Mossy Oak Breakup Infinity, Realtree or Mossy Oak Breakup pattern.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XQbnsUD4kuk/UDOuaca9hvI/AAAAAAAAAxo/JRdVr2A6Rgk/s1600/il_570xN_337727421.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" mda="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XQbnsUD4kuk/UDOuaca9hvI/AAAAAAAAAxo/JRdVr2A6Rgk/s320/il_570xN_337727421.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I listen to audiobooks while I sew. Right now I'm listening to Restless in the Grave by Dana Stabenow. I'm waiting for the 2nd book in the 50 Shades of Gray trilogy. Woohooo! Its taking so longgggggggg.</span></div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">So, now I'm finally showing myself since we're in the last weeks of August!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I've either had shingles or was recovering from shingles all of August so far! There went vaca! There went a celebration for 22 years of marriage! UGH it wasn't fun; I don't recommend it! LOL</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I have a dear sweet friend who is pregnant with her 1st baby, who I'm fearful of visiting, as its a danger for her to be around me when I had shingles. I hope I get to see her soon.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Back to sewing purses! </span><br />
<br />

Reversible Bucket Bag</div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
As promised, here are some of the purses I made for a local shop, <a href="http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Alines-Cards-and-Gifts/143010142420508" target="_blank">Aline's Cards and Gifts</a>. You can see them on <a href="http://www.facebook.com/#!/MaryMaryQuite" target="_blank">my Facebook</a>. It's a <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Bag-Making-Bible-Complete-Customizing/dp/071533624X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295939952&sr=8-1" target="_blank">Reversible Bucket Bag pattern by Lisa Lam</a>.<br />
This is a nice large bag, but not too big you'll need back surgery at the end of the day! As I said, its reversible. The denim and toile has a handmade flower pin used for the closure. You can un-pin it and use on the other side, too!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-evL5zMOzvqQ/T_ck0TROMWI/AAAAAAAAArk/b1MUAod2YRY/s1600/butterfly+and+gingham1a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" sca="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-evL5zMOzvqQ/T_ck0TROMWI/AAAAAAAAArk/b1MUAod2YRY/s320/butterfly+and+gingham1a.jpg" width="279" /></a></div>
This is my favourite, its a sweet butterfly print. Its trimmed in the yellow print which the flower is made from, too. The other side is the green gingham print. You can also unpin it to use on the reverse side of the bag for the closure.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NR_04-bfmps/T_ck3zzslaI/AAAAAAAAArs/5B1SPMOJqCU/s1600/Plaid+Burghandy1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" sca="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NR_04-bfmps/T_ck3zzslaI/AAAAAAAAArs/5B1SPMOJqCU/s320/Plaid+Burghandy1.jpg" width="297" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
On this plaid and burghandy purse, I sewed a button on each side that you use for the closure. Sometimes, you don't want a flower, but I can make one on request!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jsF9RJxcPt8/T_ck6TdWF3I/AAAAAAAAAr0/bq3UiQFH1z0/s1600/backpack1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" sca="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jsF9RJxcPt8/T_ck6TdWF3I/AAAAAAAAAr0/bq3UiQFH1z0/s320/backpack1.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This backpack purse is a really gorgeous bag. I used some fun fabrics in light yellow, light blues and light greens. The flap fabric is a butterfly fabric. The straps and the lining are a Moda print in light blue and white clouds. The flap closure buttons using a big blue flower print button.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As soon as I find the creator of the bag pattern, I'll add it in. It just slipped my mind, hmmmm!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now, on to my sweetie. A few weeks ago he went to a "shoot". Its a bow shooting competition. I was thrilled he got a snap of him, "in action"!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Frank, the love of my life... and the love of his life (bow shooting). LOL</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Our wedding anniversary is coming up. We were married July 7, 1990.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We won't be having too much celebration, however, as I have shingles! Blecckkk!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Sorry, honey, "Will you take a raincheck?" </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Doesn't this look fun?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'm pretty sure whoever had to dress those sweet critters didn't have fun, though!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Just thought I'd drop in and say "Hi!". I've been gone sooooo long!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I visit blogs and for a while I had trouble replying to posts! It became frustrating. I have been a quitter! Ack! Well, I have had a bit of illness which slowed me down, plus a tooth pain thing, then the tooth pulling thing. UGH! I've worked at changing my blog around and it was a PITA. I gave up! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Then, I said to dh, "I need a new lappy!".</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Male response "Why? All you need is some more memory".</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Then all I had to do was sigh. Then I heard, "It should be here in 2 to 3 days."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
From me, "What should be here in..."</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Before I could finish, he said "Your new laptop I just ordered!"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Dry cough from me.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I just love my dh! Have I mentioned that lately? Now, I've been having fun getting it all set up the way I like it. I've decided not to put all my docs and pics files on it, but keep it on a little drive. Its been working out.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now, I need to get back to purse making for my stock at the shop I consign in. A huge SORRY! goes out to Geri. It seems before I can list purses on Etsy or put them in Geri's shop, I've sold them. Which is nice, but I really need to stock up! LOL</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I've bought some fun patterns to make some Prims for fall. Yeah, me! Its my reward for after I get a bunch of purses finished! Weeeeeee!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now I have a speedy-fun lappy I can begin visiting all my fav blogs! Woohooo</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: left;">

Thanks go out to everyone for all their encouragement and support.<br />
<br />
Sewing and crafting means so much to me. It helps me relax and gives me a sense of accomplishment. I make things I want and like myself. That other folks actually will pay money for it is just an added bonus! It thrills me to think someone is going to love my creations!<br />
<br />
Recently, through Etsy and personal experience, too, I've had the pleasure of meeting some very wonderful people interested in my creations. All of the compliments and appreciation given to me frankly overwhelmed me and I've found myself actually tearing up.<br />
<br />
I sold some rag dolls, to my excitement, to a nice lady in England. She said my rag dolls are endearing, have the "it factor" and are a bit magical, and are quirky! Wowee very high praises! <br />
<br />
I was told my bags are stunning and I was really gifted! I can't make them fast enough! They are sold before I can even list them in my Etsy shop or put in my friend Geri's brick and mortar store. I keep running out of batting and zippers! LOL<br />
<br />
In April, 2 of my ballerina dolls were autioned at a "Ballerina Ball" for a professional ballet company in Naples, Florida. They included accessories and had letters of authentification (whew type that 3 times fast). News came back to me that they were well received and both sold, and "ooohs and ahhhhs" were heard.<br />
<br />

<br />
Also I had a lady in March custom order a snowman doll. Isn't he adorable? His outfit is burlap, his scarf and hat is 100% wool (sweater) with a chocolate felt bird cutout, his mittens are cream felt. He carries cream chenille candycanes and has a bronze tree with a glitter wood star on top!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks everyone!!</div>

Look!<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Valentines Day has always, and I mean <em>always</em> been fun for me. I was the kid cutting out hearts all the time. Hearts everywhere!! It took me forever to pick out my Valentines at Ben Franklin. I wanted the cutest ones. I demanded to wear red, lots of red! I oo-ed and aww-ed over anything pink and fuzzy or red and shiny. Red and Pink construction paper bits everywhere, getting me in trouble at home. I kept my Valentines hidden, well after the day, so my "purge everything" mama wouldn't throw them away! LOL</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">And that was just in grade school!</span><br />

</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I made 2 Primitive Hanging Heart Pinkeeps. They have 3 hanging felt strawberries that have tiny black bead seeds sewn on. This is the first one in a blue calico with red flowers and a red pocket made of quality cotton fabric. The second one is done in osnaburg with a red and white ticking pocket. Vintage buttons and thread and pins decorate the hearts. I've included the cutest tiny pair of sewing scissors. They are brand new but old stock and are extremely sharp and work terrific; they look vintage. Both pinkeeps were aged with walnut ink stain. They hang by a rusty wire. Liberty Creek Primitives pattern.</span></div><br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">This PInKeep is a pattern from Primitive Bettys.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I stained this linen coffee stained. You can see the little heart shaped rusty lock I found at an antique store. Its so sweet! And I put some of my dear granny's rusty straight pins on there and some others I had, too. The hanger is a grosgrain ribbon I had and I pinned it on using some small rusty safety pins.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;">Its Darker in person, more coffee stained. The fabric for the back is a Small Plaid Homespun in Autumnal colours of dark brown, dark green and rust; the pillow is stuffed with pillow stuffing. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">This Pinkeep measures 9 by 3 1/2 inches and approximately 1 3/4 inches thick.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I hope to be posting more soon! I've been very busy getting ready for a craft show! Yeah, its fun! LOL</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS; font-size: large;">Can you hear the hags cackling their witchy cackles? I sure can! I'm surrounded by witches!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS; font-size: large;">I've put 3 witches up for sale in my Etsy shop! I've priced these babies to sell folks! So, don't miss out! If you want one of these fine ladies, grab her!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS; font-size: large;">Check out her cape! What a hoot! Her outfit and kitty is my design. She has sculpted and painted facial features and painted socks/shoes. She's been rag stuffed for that old fashioned feel to her. Her hair is raw flax stitched on. <span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS; font-size: large;">Isn't she sweet? She has lots of character with her sculpted nose and Primitively stitched features. I designed her dress and her white sculpted pumpkin. Her stained cheesecloth shawl is held together with a rusty tin bat. Notice her hang tag has real black German glass glitter on it! </span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS; font-size: large;">This little hag is quite Primitive with her extreme grunge mixture; you can see the dirty cinnamon! She's been heavily aged, too! Her nose is pinch stitched and her facial features Primitively stitched on. She holds a broom and has her dirty pet crow with her. She's decorated further with Spanish moss.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS; font-size: large;">All of these ladies were made using Cats In The Barn patterns. </span><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I added my link to the By Your Hands Handmade Blog Party Sunday! These dolls are 1 of 3 items I am selling in my </span><a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/MaryMQuiteContrary"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Etsy Shop</span></a><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">. These sweet 8 inch tall angels come in a pair, as they are sisters. The bodies are tea stained muslin, rag stuffed and sewn to the top of a paper card cone. The dresses are tea stained muslin, too. There is a ruffle made of natural paper coffee filters sewn to ruffle them, attached to the bottom of their cones, peeping out underneath their dresses. Their faces are hand stitched with Pearl cotton, the noses are pinched stitched. They have stitched on real lamb's wool hair. Their sweet wings are sewn on, made from paper card and are painted silver using acrylic paints, then slightly aged using a Distress Ink Pad. Each sister is holding a very shiny silver bell, which doesn't show up well in the picture, posed and sewn to their hands. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I used a wonderful pattern by Renee' Plains to make these sweet dolls. I am asking $25 for the pair; they can be purchased through my </span><a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/MaryMQuiteContrary"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Etsy Shop</span></a><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">. <br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">This is a mug rug I made for a swap on the sewing group I belong to. I made this for Val and she has since received it and loves it.</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">I think I'll be making more mug rugs; they are fun to design and a quick to make. I have more of the Java-like panels, too. </span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Those strawberries are making me <em>HUNGRY</em>!</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Now, as promised, here are some recipes I've collected in the past years. Linda at <a href="http://prairieflowerfarm.blogspot.com/">Prairie Flower Farm</a> is having a giveaway for some great canning items and is encouraging some to share recipes. Check this out, because it ends July 19th. That's what got this started for me. She is also running a special on an adorable apron pattern $5.75 until the end of July. You don't want to miss it!</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;"><u>Fresh Corn Relish</u></span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">8 ears fresh corn, husked</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">1/2 cup vegetable oil</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">1/4 cup cider vinegar</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">1 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">2 teaspoons salt</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">2 teaspoons sugar</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">1/2 teaspoon dried basil</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">2 large tomatoes peeled and coarsely chopped</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">1/2 cup chopped scallions</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Bring a large kettle of water to a boil over high heat. Add the corn, cover, and return to a boil. Remove kettle from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Drain corn and let cool. In a large bowl, mix the oil, vinegar, lemon juice, parsley, salt, sugar, basil, and cayenne pepper. Cut cooled corn off cob and add to mixture. Add the tomatoes, green peppers, and scallions. Mix well, cover, and chill for several hours. Serve in a bowl lined with salad greens. </span></strong><br />

<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;"><u>Dill Pickles</u></span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">sterilize pint jars. Fill with even sized cucumbers. Put one spray of dill (from your garden or buy at the Farmer's Market) in each jar. </span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Then heat on stove:</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">2 quarts water</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">1/2 cup salt</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">1 1/2 cup vinegar</span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Heat, then pour over pickles while hot and seal at once. This makes 4 quarts. </span></strong><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">*Sometimes, I skip the sealing and just keep them in the fridge. They get eaten up so fast. Also, when friends and family find out you've canned them, they want some. hehe</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">I'm still hunting down my sweet pickle sticks recipe. Hmm where did it go?</span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: large;">Enjoy!!</span></strong><br />

Is this thing working yet??</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MhmT-UKEEEE/ThB3HC5Q0-I/AAAAAAAAAjI/aOfoKWoaqcI/s1600/outside+sam+n+libbie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="332" i$="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MhmT-UKEEEE/ThB3HC5Q0-I/AAAAAAAAAjI/aOfoKWoaqcI/s400/outside+sam+n+libbie.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Here is my Uncle Sam and Libby busts I took pics of the other day. And you can see my new begonias I bought at The Olde Homestead here in town. That was their last red ones. Mom always had red begonias, so I thought I needed some, too. Except Mom had a green thumb and I don't. So, thats my excuse and I'm sticking with it!! The Patriotic busts were made using a Jackie Schmidt pattern.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-S2K5cYF9aZY/ThB284KnZQI/AAAAAAAAAi8/oqDZq77Y9TM/s1600/big+sheep+wool.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="378" i$="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-S2K5cYF9aZY/ThB284KnZQI/AAAAAAAAAi8/oqDZq77Y9TM/s400/big+sheep+wool.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Here is my sheep! I just love her; she's so grungy. Love her little stick legs from the yard and her grunged batting tail held on with a rusty nail. If you click for a bigger pic, you can see it.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0N9lnllaL9k/ThB25k3JH-I/AAAAAAAAAi4/f9Wh4oJVXt8/s1600/watermelon+pull+toy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" i$="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0N9lnllaL9k/ThB25k3JH-I/AAAAAAAAAi4/f9Wh4oJVXt8/s400/watermelon+pull+toy.jpg" width="366" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: large;">Here is the mousie Patriotic parade pull toy!! This was so fun to make with all the little mousie eyes and whiskers and scarves. The watermelon is so cute!!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: large;">Both the sheep pattern and this one is by Kentucky Primitives, as is the next one of the rabbit and watermelon snack.</span><br />
<br />
<br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: large;">I found this Patriotic rabbit carrying his watermelon snack in the front garden. Shhh, snuck up on him, shhh, and quickly snapped a pic! hehehe</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: large;">Love his little stick legs!! They crack me up!</span><br />
